“What can I add in?” instead of “what do I need to restrict or cut out?”
Use this hack to get back to your normal routine after the holidays A LOT easier.
Come from a positive, empowering frame of mind, rather than a restritive, limiting mindset. It’ll be much more sustainable this way.
So instead of saying “what do I need to restrict or cut out?” ask yourself “What habits can I add in?”
Most of us have just spent the last few days eating lots of rich foods, drinking more than usual and probably not moving around much.
So you’re probably feels sluggish, tired and possibly on the dehydrated side – that’s ok.
Recognize that your cravings for sugary processed foods will be HIGH over the coming days.
So HELP your body – its probably dehydrated, its low in minerals etc after a few days of rich foods, so instead of cutting something out, figure out what you can add back in?
Perhaps some more water.
Some more veggies.
Go for a walk or do a quick 10-15 minute workout.
You arent trying to get back to 100% today- what we tell our clients is that you mght have a few days of being 40% back on track, then 60%, then 75% and so on.
And that’s ok.
It’s far better than staying at 0% for weeks.
So what can you add back in today?
Make that a habit. Then start stacking those habits and layering them all together.
You’ll be back on track in no time.
